0141: Shakespeare, Tony Accetta, Model 1312B-9, Varnished 6 strip bamboo flyrod. 9', 3/2 for #5/6 line, 7-3/8 oz. Full-metal, twist-lock reel seat with raised rails. Full wells cork grip, inlet. Japanned ferrules. Black snake guides with chrome stripper. Black wraps tipped gold. Strap and ring hook keeper. All joints are very straight and proper length with the butt joint characteristically ~1 inch longer, as made. All ferrules tight with no cracks.
A very high quality Shakespeare Bass rod, probably made by South Bend based on the dark cane. The Shakespeare "Honor Built - Honor Sold" label which dates this rod pre-WWII, is 100% complete. The model number and Tony Accetta signature are virtually complete. The grip is lightly soiled and has had a slight cork repair at it's butt end due to hook damage. This 'Tony Accetta' model rod shows no signs of abuse and therefore would fish nicely as well as add nicely to your 'Shakespeare' collection.
With, but a few, professionally done re-wraps this rod is original as issued. Custom labeled bag. A quality storage case is available. Exc. $185
