0200: Heddon, #8, 2-1/2F, Varnished 6-strip bamboo flyrod. 9', 3/2, for #6 line (HCH or D). 6 oz. Screw-down-locking reelseat with brown Pyralin (celluloid) spacer. 6-inch straight cork-rings grip. Bright nickel-silver rolled-welt ferrules function well. Bronzed-steel snake guides and chromed stipper guide are wrapped in Black/Yellow Jasper. No hook-keeper, as issued. New replacement bag with my tag. A quality storage case is available.
All joints are proper length except for one tip which is about 1/2-inch short due to tip-top replacement. This professionally refinished rod has the renowned Heddon "Browntone" cane with new spar varnish. The model data markings on the shaft are factory original and include the "Heddon" script running up one flat of the shaft dating this rod to circa 1951. An old, small hook ding in one tip joint is mentioned for accuracy.
Here's a chance to add a splendid Heddon "Bass, or Heavy Trout" rod to your arsenal. It is getting very difficult to find shorter Heddons especially in near-new condition. This rod will fit nicely into your Heddon collection or you might want to take it out to the farm pond and try your luck tossing some bass-bugs. Excellent. $295
