Based on the 'Shakespeare' decal design, I believe that this is an early 1940s Shakespeare model built with blonde cane. The decal is a nice 'Honor Built, Honor Sold', green oval, 'Shakespeare' decal that is ~90% complete and is oriented parallel to the rod shaft. The model name is inked on the rod shaft on the flat opposite the decal. Small medallion wrap ahead of the winding check wrap. The half-Wells cork grip has been cleaned and stabilized and should be good for many more seasons. The reel seat is chrome plated and has a few dings from years of use. The bamboo is all original and in very good condition with no splits, crack or open seams. This professionally refurbished Model 1367-9 comes in a custom labeled bag and a serviceable period aluminum storage case. Overall VG $145
