Good 5-3/4" full-Wells cork grip, no hook-keeper as issued. Chrome stripper guide, triple plated chrome snake guides and 'Perfection' style tiptop. Black & White Jasper with outbound accent wraps of Orange. Bright heavy-gauge nickel-silver ferrules with rolled welts.
This early 1950's Horrocks-Ibbotson rod has a partial 'H-I' decal (~30%). The model name is scripted in white ink, along with the 'Tonkin Cane' lettering. The lettering reads towards the grip as is usual with Horrocks-Ibbotson rods. The rod is handsome looking with deeply flamed (Hexi-Super-cane) sections. Supplied with a custom made, labeled cloth bag. A quality storage case is available.
This Bass-weight split-bamboo fly rod has been profesionally refurbished to near new condition. Genuine 'Tonkin Cane' gives this rod backbone and durability. All wraps and snake guides are new and the spar varnish is excellent. All three joints are the correct length. Great looking rod at a reasonable price.
