All of the original factory script is crisp and runs axially up the shaft, that, and the fact that 'Heddon' spirals up the shaft, indicates a pre-1950 build era. All joints are the proper length and straight. The rod is supplied in its original segmented cloth bag, but the included, original factory labeled heavy card-stock case without screw-end or cap, should not be relied upon for storage. A quality storage case may be available.
This lightweight 9-footer allows you to cast and work a drag-free dry fly, or perhaps guide a 'Matuka' streamer through a tumbling riffles. The extra length provides the extra reach for that elusive fish feeding at a greater distance. A beautiful "Browntone" Heddon rod with all guides professionally re-wrapped by hand. The entire rod has a beautiful hand-applied coat of UV resistant Spar varnish. VG-Excellent, $185.
