Wrapped over, rolled welt, nickel ferrules. Black hardened steel snake guides, nickel stripper guide with Agate insert. One "Perfection style" tip-top and one Agate insert. Black & White Jasper wraps sans tipping. No hook keeper. Original vintage sleeve with illegible hang tag. A quality storage case may be available.
This is a 'Bass-weight' fly rod with a fast action. The model number on the shaft reads "59-9" The grip shows minor wear from normal use. There is a 70% 'South Bend' decal bracketed by decorative intermediates and a mid butt-joint medallion. Both tip joints down ~1". Excellent South Bend bamboo with all joints straight.
The combination of the 'Lite-lock' reel seat and the 'Comficient' grip dates this rod to post-1942. This rod is ready to take fishing, and having been professionally refurbished, it is a great looking and capable two-tip bamboo fly rod at a reasonable price! Very good - excellent. $
