Based on the labeling method this rod falls into the late 1930 era. The 'Heddon' name spirals up the shaft while the data line reads from the grip on a single flat. This predates writing of the model name on the shaft. That information was found in catalogs and in some cases on the sleeve hang-tag. Beautiful dark cane with professionally applied varnish overcoat. A very fine fishing rod that falls short of being considered a collectable Heddon. However, VG-Exc. $295
