Nickel plated rolled welt ferrule. Hardened steel snake guides and chrome stripper guide. Black wraps sans tipping. No hook keeper, as issued. Model name scripted on shaft in white ink. Scarce 'Horrocks-Ibbotson' issue is fairy-like. Supplied in a custom sewn segmented replacement bag with my label. A custom RPVC storage case is available.
'Tobacco' colored 'Tonkin Cane' is rich Brown, and all joints are straight, and the bamboo seams are tight. Hardened steel snake guides, well fitting ferrule set, 'Perfection' style loop tip-top. The Horrocks-Ibbotson name has been re-labeled while "Pocono" is white-inked on the shaft reading towards the grip. The tired vintage varnish was removed and replaced with UV Protective Spar Varnish making the bamboo look as new.
Circa 1949, the 'Pocono' was an economy issue but despite the low issue price, the 'Pocono' is considered to be one of H-I's best casting, small stream fly rods. Here's a chance to own and enjoy a seldom offered light-weight, vintage trout and panfish rod. Enjoy the semi-parabolic action for many years to come.
