5002: HEX Flies, spinner & parachute. Hexagenia, the giant mayfly, is a species of mayfly in the family Ephemeridae. It is native to North America and is distributed widely near lakes and slow-moving rivers. A gourmet meal for ferocious night feeding, giant Brown Trout. In July 1999, a swarm of mayflies made up of Hexagenia and Hexagenia rigida on the shore of Lake Erie was so large that it was visible on Doppler radar. The swarm was thought to be 3 to 6 km wide, 16 to 25 km long, and 125 to 250 m in height. (Corkum, 2010)

These flies are hand-tied in the USA by a professional tyer. They are tied on a size 6 hook, so these are large flies, sure to please large Trout. The 'Spinner' and the 'Parachute' are available. Sold as a half dozen, three of each type for $13, postpaid.
